Those who passed their test after 1st January 1997 are currently required to take an additional test but pressure on resources post COVID-19 could mean a change. The priority is currently to get HGV drivers on the road to keep the supply network running. Resources are running thin and the towing test is just another issue the DVSA may have to scrap to keep up with demand. IAM RoadSmart are warning this could create more problems and be an accident waiting to happen.
