KEEPING UP YOUR STANDARDS

It’s a wonderful feeling when you pass your Advanced Driving Test, but how do you maintain the standards you have achieved and avoid slipping back into bad old habits?

My own method is to give myself 10 points at the start of every drive - even a quick trip to the supermarket - and take away a point for anything I could have done better.

For example: Did I check two mirrors, not just one, after seeing a triangular hazard warning sign? Was my braking smooth enough on the approach to the roundabout? Could I have positioned the car better on that tricky double apex bend?

Try it - be your own Observer, and enjoy your driving even more!
