IAM RoadSmart appoints Jeff Willcocks as new trustee

The UK’s biggest independent road safety charity, IAM RoadSmart, has appointed a new trustee, experienced finance and organisational performance senior leader, Jeff Willcocks.

Jeff, who lives in Hertfordshire, is currently Group Finance Director and Deputy CEO of The Professional Monitor Company. He brings more than 20 years’ experience of managing and improving organisational performance.

He joins existing trustees: Dr Gina Bromage, Dr Catherine Lloyd, Elizabeth Coyle-Camp, Nick Lomas, John Jenkins, Nick Stein and Stuart Donald, QPM under the leadership of recently appointed chairman Derek McMullan and interim chief executive officer Tony Greenidge.

His new role includes chairing the Finance and Audit Committee.

For 12 years Jeff was the CEO for Trend Machinery, a UK woodworking tooling business based in the UK. During this period, Jeff was also the President of Trend Routing Technology, a business based in Greensborough, North Carolina, USA.

He holds an MBA with Distinction from Surrey University and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Certified Accountants. He has recently completed with Cambridge University a course in Sustainability Management, which is an area of personal interest for him.

Commenting on his appointment, Jeff said: “I am delighted to take up this role and look forward to using my knowledge and experience to help the organisation make UK roads even safer.”

Derek McMullan said: “Jeff joins our existing trustees, management and staff, in contributing to the cause at an extraordinary time when road safety needs to be high on the national agenda as we all return to the roads after an extended period of restricted driving and riding.

“IAM RoadSmart’s advanced driver and rider coaching and the modules and assessments it offers for all road users have never been more relevant than they are today. Jeff’s appointment will help us to drive our charitable work forward in a fast-changing world.”
