Many congratulations to CAM’s own Chris D and Julie W on obtaining the Bolton Advanced Motorists Diploma in Advanced Driving. Julie has since gone on to secure her IAM RoadSmart Masters Distinction, the highest standard of civilian driving ability in the country.
Chris and Julie are both IMI National Observers who are also on our Executive Committee and training team.
The Bolton Diploma was developed by Bolton Advanced Motorists in conjunction with Greater Manchester Police. To obtain the Diploma, candidates have to pass two, 90-minute exams on the Highway Code and Roadcraft. They then undertake a series of observed driving sessions leading to a test with an examiner from the GMP Driver Training Unit.
All at CAM were delighted when Julie went on to take her IAM RoadSmart Masters qualification. As a Masters Distinction, Julie is now a Masters Mentor, coaching other advanced drivers for their Masters tests. This means CAM can now deliver Masters courses ourselves.
