Representatives of Chorley Advanced Motorists were delighted to attend the IAM Roadsmart Area 6 Regional Forum on our doorstep in Preston on 22nd October 2022.
Held by IAM RS at Cotton Court Business Centre, car and bike groups from across the north west of England came together to hear about the latest developments being planned by IAM RS, in addition to making an input into their strategy as the organisation moves forward.
With around 60 attendees, the forum enabled us to compare notes and thoughts on best practice with other groups. Due to the pandemic, it was the first opportunity to do this for three years and it was great to hear how other groups were getting on.
The Forum also gave us our first opportunity to meet new IAM RS CEO, Tony Kildare and we were especially pleased that he made the effort to visit our 'patch'. Tony joined IAM RS in February this year, bringing a wealth of experience in CEO, board and other senior executive roles at various organisations including regional development and healthcare. Tony was joined by Amanda Smith, IAM RS Head of Field Service Delivery and Steve Ellis, our Area Service Delivery Manager.
