One of IAM RoadSmart's key goals is to help its Members and Associates develop the advanced skills that help make driving a more enjoyable and rewarding experience.  Being an advanced driver is a journey of continuous learning and one of its key stages is the internationally recognised Advanced Test. Pioneered by the IAM, it is this for which they are perhaps best known.  Here at Wessex Advanced Motorists, we can help you towards passing the Advanced Driving Test and maintaining those newly acquired skills.

Members' Evening - visit to Howard's showroom

Sep 25, 2022, 10:40 AM by Wessex Admin

photo of gathering at Howard's TauntonThe September members' evening made a change from the usual format of talks or demonstrations at Hatch Beauchamp village hall. We visited Howard's dealership in Taunton, giving members an opportunity to explore EV cars. There were EV cars from Citroen, Peugeot and Hyundai for us to crawl all over.
Three of Howard's sales team, one from each 'manufacturer', were on hand to answer questions and then give us a short but informative talk on the evolution and future of the EV. Photo of Citroen Ami
They went on to answer more questions; it showed how much of interest this was to members, as the discussion went on well past the intended finishing time.
Thanks to the Howard's team for their time and effort in putting on the event and also to a couple of Exeter & Torbay Advanced Motorists members who came up specially for the event.
