All IAM Roadsmart examiners are friendly and will do their best to put you at ease. Everyone wants you to do your best on the day.
Once you have been entered for test, your examiner will contact you to agree a mutually convenient date and time for your test, which last for about 90 minutes on the full range of road types and is Accredited by the Driving Standards Agency (DSA).
During the test, your examiner assesses your driving ability against the advanced driving competencies. You'll negotiate various hazards and situations, utilising the skills and techniques you have learned on your course.
At the end, your examiner will debrief you on how the test went and you receive a written summary of their decision.
