We’re venturing a little further for a little longer for our next tour.
Dates are 1/7/24 to 11/7/24
This is 10 days to cover 2,500 miles, some at altitude.
Out destination is Lake Lucerne where we will do daily ride-outs into the Alps, over some of the snow lined passes – and look at cows with huge bells around their necks !
On the way, we will over-night first in the Champagne region of France, and then the Vosges mountains.
Each day will consist of about 6 hours of riding with regular stops for food and drink.
I will book my ferry and hotel as soon as 8 people have expressed interest. We’re up to 7 already so the tour will definitely take place.
If you have never taken your motorcycle abroad before, this is an ideal opportunity as all the arrangements will be made for you, I’ll assist with both ferry and hotel bookings, provide daily route sheets, program your SatNav, and provide you with contacts for Health Insurance, European Breakdown cover, mobile phone roaming packs, etc. All you have to do is ride your bike ! That won’t be problem for an Advanced Motorcyclist.
Total cost will be about £1,750. £300 will be for the ferry, £800 for hotels which will go on your credit card the week before we leave, and £650 on fuel and food during the trip.
