Our recent K9 Event

Posted on 01/11/22 |
ok- an adventure to take photos of a number of sites and then return to Damarells for slow speed riding. A type of time trial really. Great fun had by all!
Here are the results of the first annual CK9.
We had 4 teams join us on the day.
Team 1 was Ashley Rudd and Graham Barnett.
Team 3 was Gren Matta and Paul Anderson.
Team 6 was Terry Tomlin and Mick Shirley (with Jackie Barker).
Team 8 was Steve Monks, Chris Timmins, Julie Morris and Pete Andrews.
After leaving Damerells, visiting 9 destinations and returning to Damerells around 3 hours later, the winners with 39 penalty points were Team 8 who won the CK9 Salver and each member received an individual helmet trophy to keep.
Team 3 came second with 60 penalty points.
Team 6 came 3rd with 73 penalty points
Team 1 also ran with 82 penalty points.
The team who rode the furthest was Team 3 at 73.0 miles and won commemorative key rings.
If you have the furthest, you must have the shortest, which was Team 8 at 69.2 miles and also won commemorative key rings.
We had 2 slow speed awards. The one who came closest to our target time of 1 min 35 sec, was Graham Barnett and won a commemorative key ring.
But the slowest of the slow with a time of 2 min 27 sec and winner of the annual Brian trophy was Steve Monks.

Thank you to everyone who came along to watch, to take part in the slow speed and all of you who entered the CK9, I hope we see you all next year.
