'John Lofty Percival aka "theloftybiker" has been riding motorcycles for over 50 years. Starting off by riding various off road bikes at the age of 11, moving onto road bikes at 17. British bikes, lots of them. Even a little classic racing on a Rocket Goldstar. Eventually discovering Jap bikes in 2002.....slow learner! Joining the IAM and passing the advanced test in 2007 with LAMG. After a number of year as rideout co-ordinator and a regular committee member, became Chairman in 2015. Taking the Masters test and then mentoring a number off peers also to pass. Taking a break from the IAM in 2017 until joining CAM in 2021. During the break I started my Youtube channel theloftybiker. Vlogging about anything bike related, but mainly road testing and reviewing Motorcycles.'
