Congratulations to Andrew Farrimond for passing the IAM RoadSmart Master Driver Test and obtaining a distinction. The test was carried out on Tuesday 12th July and the Examiner was Area 6 Service Delivery Manager Steve Ellis.
In addition, Andrew participated in the Bolton Group Diploma Course.
This involved five classroom sessions on the Highway Code with a written exam, four classroom sessions on Roadcraft, again with a written exam. Following a two year break for covid, there were then six driving sessions with Bolton Group, one day at Greater Manchester (GM) Police driver training unit in a BMW 330d, blue light out of Manchester with trainer PC Darren Sharpe, heading towards Yorkshire, Andrew and 'Dougie' took turns driving the police car, ending with a driving test by the GM police training unit in Cheshire.
Andrew scored 95% in his driving test and won the Bolton Group Hugh German Memorial Trophy. Andrew said "this was a high honour indeed and I am extremely proud to be the first person to receive this trophy"
Well done Andrew, these are fantastic achievements. All your hard work has paid off.
