Our competition will run from the 8 October – 6 November 2020. Share a favourite photo that you took while Staycationing and what vehicle you are driving or riding. Show us how they made the best of a bad situation.

The best entries will feature in the Spring 2021 edition of our magazine RoadSmart.  The winner will be notified by 10 November 2020.  

So, if you have a favourite photo that you took while Staycationing with the vehicle you were driving or riding, please share it with us by commenting on our social posts – or by emailing it to press.office@iam.org.uk.

Those posting or submitting pictures will have the opportunity to win a free magazine subscription (from a range of BBC titles). The winner will be announced on 10th November.

Terms and conditions of entry

The prize is a free one year (13 issues) magazine subscription (one choice from these titles: Top Gear magazine, Country File magazine, History magazine, Wildlife magazine, Olive magazine, Cycling Plus magazine and Mountain Biking UK magazine). No cash equivalent is available.

The competition closes at 5 pm on 6 November 2020 and all entries received before this date will be considered.

The winner will be randomly selected from all submissions and notified of their prize on 10 November 2020.

The winner will be contacted via the same method (email or social media platform) they entered on. 

The competition is open to anyone except IAM RoadSmart employees or their families.

Entrants under the age of 16 must have their parent’s or guardian’s permission to take part.

Entrants can submit up to three images.

Images of anything relating to cars, motorbikes, road trips, holidays or days out are welcomed. Entrants are reminded, however, that the Government’s current Coronavirus advice should always be followed.

Images may be digitally enhanced to remove spots or scratches etc, but not manipulated.

Entrants can enhance the picture to make it brighter/clearer etc, but not manipulate the content.

Entrants will retain copyright of their images but agree that, by entering the competition, they allow IAM RoadSmart to publish their pictures in their communications, social media channels and promotional literature.

All entries must be the original work of the entrant and must not infringe the rights of any other party. The entrant must be the sole owner of the copyright in all photographs entered and must have obtained permission of all the people featured in their entries, or their parents/guardians' permission if children under 16. Further, entrants must not have breached any laws when taking their photographs.

IAM RoadSmart reserves the right to disallow any images it considers inappropriate on any grounds, and entirely at its own discretion, and to remove it both from the competition and from its social media channels.

By entering, entrants will be deemed to have agreed to be bound by these rules and IAM RoadSmart reserves the right to exclude any entry from the competition at any time and at its absolute discretion if it has reason to believe that an entrant has breached these rules.

IAM RoadSmart reserves the right to cancel this competition or alter any of the rules at any stage, if deemed necessary in its opinion, and if circumstances arise outside of its control.

If the winner is unable to be contacted after reasonable attempts have been made, IAM RoadSmart reserves the right to either offer the prize to a second randomly selected entry or to re-offer the prize in any future competition.
