IAM RoadSmart appoints new interim CEO

The UK’s largest independent road safety charity, IAM RoadSmart, which improves driver and rider on-road skills through coaching and education, has appointed Antony Kildare as its interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO), taking over from 9th February 2022. He will lead the organisation, which has around 85,000 members, into a new phase of its strategic direction and growth.

Stuart Donald QPM, IAM RoadSmart’s Chairman said: “I am delighted to appoint Tony as interim CEO of IAM RoadSmart. He will bring strong leadership and a wealth of experience to drive forward over the coming months, while helping to safeguard the future of our charity and, moving forward, our work with our Group Volunteers and members on a number of UK-wide road safety initiatives.

Commenting on his new appointment, Antony Kildare said: “I’m both delighted and privileged to be join IAM RoadSmart. The recent work that everyone at IAM RoadSmart has delivered puts us in a great position to progress further and improve our offer to our current and future membership, while making UK roads safer for us all.

“I look forward to getting to know the team and working with them to deliver the charity’s ambitious strategy, as well as getting out to meet our volunteers and Groups and understand their views around road safety in the future.”
