The adventurer, Nick Sanders MBE, is making tracks to the eagerly anticipated Motorcycle Live event held at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC), in support of the UK’s leading independent road safety charity, IAM RoadSmart.

Nick will be stationed at IAM RoadSmart’s stand (2C05) every day at midday from 19-27 November, sharing his wealth of riding knowledge amassed over forty years of adventures, across all four corners of the globe. Just some of his incredible feats include riding around the world by bicycle in 80 days, journeying to the source of The River Nile by bicycle, and motorcycling from Wales to Mongolia.

Motorcycle Live, an annual event hosted at the NEC, is the UK’s largest motorcycle show, supported by over 50 motorcycle and scooter manufacturers. The show has proved to be a central meeting place for all biking enthusiasts, making it the perfect place for Nick to share the important message of road safety.

Nick commented: “I do what I do in the name of enjoyment, challenge and adventure, but I think it is fair to say that I have learned a thing or two about riding safely in my time riding bicycles and motorcycles, travelling across a range of different climates and roads around the world.

During my travels, I have learned that the UK is renowned internationally for its safe roads, and I believe the work that IAM RoadSmart do in terms of improving riding standards and raising awareness regarding road safety issues has been a huge part of this.”

Kat Hyde, Head of Marketing and Communications at IAM RoadSmart, added: “Nick is a remarkable and inspirational person with such a wealth of unique riding experiences to share. I am sure visitors to our stand will be inspired by his storied riding career, but also learn so much about how to ride safely.”

Nick’s attendance at the event comes in advance of his motorbike festival, MACH 2023, set to come to Nick’s farm near Machynlleth Wales on May 25 - May 28 of next year. The festival will see motorcycle enthusiasts given the opportunity to embark on off-road rides through the Welsh terrain, take a look at Yamaha’s electric gravel bicycle demos and singalong to a Pink Floyd tribute ensemble.

Furthermore, IAM RoadSmart Observers will be assisting in the ride outs at The Test Ride Zone, where visitors can test ride from a great line up of bikes from leading manufacturers.
